Calling ALL 3rd-6th graders! Join us virtually to learn the basics of Jump Rope, tricks and challenges!
The Willow Springs Jump Rope Club will be a little different this year. Jumpers will learn the basics of jump rope, tricks, jumping to a beat and sequencing. This year Jump Rope will be done in a virtual setting offered in two different sessions. Morning session will be Tuesdays from 8:00am – 8:40am. Afternoon session will be Thursdays from 3:00pm – 3:40pm! These sessions will be mostly identical so please only choose one or the other, not both! One of the benefits of a virtual club is that space is UNLIMTED! Regular attendance will be required.
New this year! There is no fee to join Jump Rope Club however we will ask you to purchase a beaded rope if you do not have one at home (relatively inexpensive on Amazon – once registered I will send a link to the one I use).
Please use the link below to register. Registration will close Monday, October 5th. Practices will begin Tuesday October 13th! Happy Jumping!

Please read carefully and be sure you can commit to the following before registering.
Objective: To build self esteem, discipline, and cardiovascular health. To improve jumping skills individually and as a group through teamwork.
Practices: Practices are held either Tuesdays 8am – 8:40am or Thursdays 3:00pm – 3:40pm. Commitment is key and 100% participation is expected.
Uniform: To prevent injury athletic shoes are required for participation. It is recommended hair longer than the ears be pulled back (this prevents it from getting caught in the rope).
Behavior: Respectful and appropriate behavior is expected during practice. Being respectful towards leaders and others is 100% required. If a jumpers behavior becomes an issue during practice time his/her participation in the club will be reviewed.
Fees and Equipment: There is no club membership fee for this season. You will need to purchase a beaded jump rope if you do not have one at home. If the season progresses we may offer an optional t-shirt which will be an additional cost.
Safety: Participating in the activities of the club will expose participants to the risk of injury. Safety is highly emphasized. Neither FCPS nor the PTA provides insurance coverage for participants. Parents are responsible for accident/hospitalization/medical insurance for their child. A club participant can be removed from the club if his/her behavior puts him/herself or other team members at risk of injury.
