CLUBS

Willow Springs PTA supports a variety of before and after school clubs at our school or located off site. The number and type of clubs vary from year to year due to the space limitations at school and volunteers willing to coordinate the activities. The PTA is thankful for the volunteers who will be offering the following clubs this year. Check back often on the Willow Springs website.

Chess Club
Willow Springs hires the U.S. Chess Center to provide teachers to run the chess club. The teachers teach the children lessons each week as well as oversee them as they play games. Chess club starts near the end of September or the beginning of October and runs for about 15 weeks.  Enrollment is based on first come, first serve and there is no waiting list. Newcomers to the group start lessons immediately and each lesson builds on the last one. The U.S. Chess Center also holds periodic tournaments in which our chess club members get an opportunity to compete.

Cub Scouts

Scouting gives parents and their children an opportunity to make memories together, while helping kids develop skills and character traits that will benefit them for the rest of their lives. Whether it’s serving as a den leader, going camping as a family, or celebrating the achievement of earning a new badge, parents can be as involved as they’d like!
