A PTA general membership meeting will be held at 6:50 pm on June 5 & 8 (in conjunction with the Strings & a Chorus evening performances) for the purpose of electing PTA Executive Board officers for the 2012-2013 school year. We invite you to vote on the slate of officers for next year’s PTA Board:

The Annual Willow Springs World Festival, will be on Friday evening, May 18th this year. It is an exciting evening of food, fashion, music, dance and displays celebrating the cultural heritages of our students. We need families to host country booths, including a display and food of your heritage. The booth is a wonderful way for your children to understand and share their background and for all of us to celebrate our community. You can also sign your child up to be in the fashion show representing their heritage. ** New this year: We are looking for short student talent demonstrations that relate to the student's culture. To participate in any of these areas (booth, fashion show and/or cultural talent), please complete the survey that will be coming home in your student's backpack. Willow Springs  has earned the prestigious 2012 Governor's Award for Educational Excellence.  This award recognizes schools in Virginia meeting specific testing standards and our school is one of only twenty-two schools in the county to earn it this year.  More information on the award can be found on the fcps.edu website.
